I need a perennial, blooming vine for the side of my porch, which is concrete covered with black all-weather carpet and will receive +8 hours of sun.

Height wise, we're talking about a yard, with about two yards of horizontal room to grow, assuming it latches onto the porch.

I'm looking for something that I can keep under control, as well.

Would I be better served with a small trellis or set of trellises?

At this point, I guess I should say that I have experience with vines, so I may be asking the wrong questions. Any assistance is appreciated.
