Not a dumb question but the grocery store peas are edible and are often some variety of snap, snow, or shelling peas and are usually annuals, dying at the end of the season after producing their seeds (peas). But all the peas, including the edibles, have pretty little flowers. The sweet pea flowers are often fragrant though and some are perennials.
