I have a few kinds of mint. These are my favorites:

Peppermint
Chocolate Mint
Mexican Mint
Mojito Mint

My son's favorite is spearmint, he kids it pruned nicely by eating it by the handfuls!

Don't know where you are in the metroplex, but I have chocolate mint for the digging. Email me if you are interested. Just an FYI, wish I had kept it in a container.

The spearmint we've confined to a buried container for a few years appears to have escaped last season. Nice for tea and other things, but will move it to an above ground pot until we get a better containment barrier back in the garden. It's near the fence line and don't want it coming up in our neighbor's yard.

My parents let some mint grow out of control in their backyard. It's nice to see it thriving (since it has a section of the entire yard to spread out in), since we do eat mint quite a lot. And when I mow it to keep it somewhat contained, at least above ground, it smells really nice.
