all is fine since the worms comsume the microbes that break down the food. So remember this when you read about onions, avocados or citrus fruits I feed anything and my worms multiply by the thousands. My hubby thinks I am nuts too but oh well I love my babies.

the only real suggestion i can give about potatoes is to dice them or food process them. When tossed in in large pieces they tend to root. Ive also found that the larger the piece the longer it takes to break down.
