Are you putting food in the top tray?

They will only go up when there is food and bedding in the top tray. They will take more than a few weeks to move up too, so be patient.

A nice moist bedding layer with food in it in the top tray will eventually attract them.

Make sure the trays are in good contact with each other so the worms have a path upwards.

also be aware that worms will happily re-process their castings for a long time as they only 'extract' a small percentage of the nutrition each time thru

Raphael, I am putting food in the top two trays, but not the bottom tray.

sqh1, the trays are in good contact. I can see the grid pattern on the compost below.
