seedlings don't really need much nutrition until well after the first true leaves show, but I start seeds [including toms] in soil screened from the greenhouse, which is nearly 100% compost from ages of yearly additions of fresh, and mix in some screened worm castings .... never quite understood why folks use sterile medium to start plants .... and get'em out there - if it really is too cool [can't imagine where'd be too cool by now], put a poly tent over them at night

Do you mean tea made from castings or leachate from the bin? When I think of tea I think of the former, the latter being something I don't usually see.

It would help, some. Really, you should be mixing castings in with your seed starting mix. The tea, used in "sterile" media, will help but I doubt it will best miracle grow in that area, though I have not tried it. My reasoning is that I see the teas and whatsuch to all be part of a larger, general concept of soil health and since you are working with what I suspect is a peat / perlite mix, you are just talking about adding one piece of the recipe. That said, it will be better than not using it so go ahead and have at it. It does have a good balance of minerals. No harm in burning with a worm tea, you can sprout seed in straight castings and they thrive.
