you don't say where you're transporting them to, if it's a much different climate, they might decide to try to find home ... keep them out of direct sun and they'll go down as far as they want quick enough - if there's enough wet decaying organic material to keep them happy they'll hang around, if they decide they don't like it, they'll wander off to the neighbors ... or pull a mass suicide

Moving them to Reno NV, Temps are similar to where i,m getting them but NV is dryer. The mulch should make it ok in the garden though.

They won't be moving anywhere unless it rains, which it doesen't do often there. They would have to make it through 20 feet of pure dry to get anywhere.

So its suicide or home for them.
