I want to switch around the letters in your handle and call you Jean Mint. :-) The worm juice, whatever that is may be capped for distribution. That act makes the areobic life change to non areobic life. What they produce is different. Can you get the product brand new fresh and never capped and keep the cap off? These type of things really may need to be used with in the hour or at least with in the 24 hour. Once capped and devoid of oxygen the life force within suffers.

Also they need to give you a better description of what exactly worm juice is.

I have never heard of any type of worm elixer being called an herbiside. Aren't herbs plants? Don't herbisides kill plants? The definition of herbiside may be plant killer. Maybe this product is not a fertalizer for young plants but something else.

This is the leachate from the worm bins. Apparently there is extra liquid that is funneled to a spigot where the bottles are filled. The worm farm was given to this womens shelter as a source of income because the previous owner had been bottling up this leachate and selling it.

Now last night I was reading some posts on this forum and see that the leachate sometimes has alcohols and ketones in it that are toxic to the plants. So I am a bit confused. In the past I sprayed it on some very pathetic tomato plants and they recovered quickly.

I want to learn about this so I can teach them too as they don't have time or much gardening know-how to pursue it. Thanks !!!
