My house is a English Tudor style house and its coolest feature is the brick fireplace in the front of the house. My wife and I want to grow some sort of vine up the corner of the fireplace but are not sure what to get.

We only want it to go about 7 to 8 feet up from the ground. We want something that blooms and doesnt have to be replanted every year. Whether or not is is a evergreen doesn't really matter at this point.

Ideally we'd like something that will bloom all spring and summer but if we have to choose I'd say we want something that will bloom all summer.

The Fireplace faces east so it will get direct sun in the mornings.

Any ideas?
