Can anyone help me out?

It could just be transplant shock, as you said it's been a week or less since you planted it. Was the root ball dry when you planted it? How moist is it now? Did you fertilize it? (don't, by the way). Could you post a picture of the whole plant?

Lisa is right - it's probably transplant shock as well as environmental change. Keep it moist and it should recover. I am wondering about growing it in a pot. It's a massive vine when full grown and a pot will not contain it unless it's a 50-gallon pot.

Thanks for the messages folks. It seems like our collective sleuthin' paid off. I moved the pot to a brighter location and it has certainly perked up in a big way today. The leaves are still a shade of patchy yellow green but at least it's not drooping. Probably was a mix of transplant shock and sun exposure.

To address your concerns, I am certainly going to have to re-transplant it once I move into a home. I currently live in an apartment and the garden is located on my large balcony. The Wisteria is in a 50 gallon pot, shared with ground covers woolly thyme and four-leaf clovers. The soil is moist and cool. I can post a photograph of the entire plant when I get out there to take a photo.
