Clematis or honeysuckle?

I'm looking to grow something on a trellis against my house. I don't want anything that will try to get behind the (aluminum) siding like a wisteria. I'm pretty sure clematis won't and I don't think a Major Wheeler or Gold Flame will either, but I'm not sure. Roots would be shaded by other garden plants and the trellis would be in sun from late morning to evening (I'm wanting the vine to provide a little shade on the house to help keep it a bit cooler-there's already a few shrubs and we planted more, but this spot calls for something not quite as large). Thoughts?
