From what I've read, corrugated cardboard, (water)*melon rinds, coconut coir, banana peels. are all great. Egg shells to help their digestion.

I heard starving the worms a little makes them produce more cocoons. I read somewhere about there being an optimal temperature range for reproduction and an optimum temperature range for food consumption, but I'm not sure what it is
