Lapageria

I have several large lapageria that bloom well and make a lot of seed pods. The seed all seems to germinate when I put them in trays----but the seed puts on one set of leaves and never gets any bigger. Why? The cuttings I start mostly root and grow well. Any advise?

I'm sorry to say I don't know what's going on with your seed-grown specimans, but I'm SURE someone will come along, who does.

The seedlings will have only 1 leaf for a year. After that they'll begin to put on more growth.

I agree with Karyn. Their growth can be for their first two years, and the seedlings will start to bloom in 3-4 years. I learned this from someone who was very kind to share their knowledge and experience with me.
