This is my trumpet vine that I planted on my chain linked fence. I did not realize how fast it grows. Some of the tendrils are wrapping my rose bushes and other shrubs. It does need a trellis to climb and make sure you have an extra large whiskey barrell!!!!

Here is my violet trumpet vine, it's a fast grower and has nice flowers.

I'm just north of Atlanta. Trumpet vines are considered a HUGE pest here. They can grow 40 - 60' high. I'd find something else. Look at coral vine! Grows much smaller and is gorgeous. Sorry I don't have botanical name.

The purple colored one is an entirely different Genus and species, perhaps from Argentina. Wish I could grow it here, but cannot.
I got rid of a beautiful one from a chimney and from the pool deck fence, and still have ones popping up.
Drilled holes in stem and put weed killer in, but new ones show up all the time.
Have one called Mme Galen on tree where it can do little invasion, but seeds will form and grow.
Monsters, but beautiful.
