So, I was digging through my wooden bin in a section I had food in last week and wasn't really seeing any worms except for a couple dead ones. I was worried that I was getting the dreaded protein poisoning again. Well, I kept on poking around to see how things look and found this huge area of dark, brown goodness. It had a ton of worms of all sizes and even had a bunch of cocoons in it. I'm thinking the one corner might have gotten a little too acidic or wet and the healthy worms escaped to a part that had better conditions. It's nice to actually be seeing what I'm suppose to be seeing. I've only had the bin for 2 months and it looks to be 1/3 castings so hopefully in another 2 months, I'll be able to add another drawer and my worms will have doubled.
