I suddenly had an outbreak in my bin of two different kinds of gnats(one is red and a horrible flier, the other is the common black gnat) in my bin, along with earwigs and these things that look like a earwig-ant hybrid? Now they are getting all over my room, and to top it off the worms are starting to move out! The bedding is not too moist and not too dry, and all the food is buried 3-4" deep. What is the problem? What can I do? Just an FYI I am a novice vermicomposter and I just started this bin about 1 and 1/2 month ago; and I am not a gardener so I'm not too sure about anything like P.H.(except in my aquarium), etc. I am just raising them to feed my aquatic frog.
