passion flower caerulea blue vine

Sure hope someone here can help me. I received a passion flower vine as a gift and I'm not sure what to do with it. I live in WNY, zone 6. Can I plant it outside on a trellis, or do I have to keep it as a house plant. Will I be able to over winter it.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how cold it gets in zone 6, but according to Ulmer and MacDougal's Passiflora book, P. caerulea can withstand temps down to -15C (5 F). I have found that a well established Passiflora can certainly withstand more cold than a young plant. I would take that into consideration. Hope that helps a bit.

If you put it on the south side, in a protected area, it should be fine.
