Wisteria help

1. I just got 2 rooted cuttings of Wisteria today. They are both in great condition. I need to know can they be planted in the ground, or in pots in my zone. I need to know if they will eurvive Missouri winters.

2. Also the lady that sent them said they were evergreen and the leaves are shinny. The color is purple. Do you know what kind of Wisteria it would be?

June, what climate did she send them from? The vine with common name evergreen wisteria is Millettia reticulata and it isn't evergreen even here in this Z8, leaves remain only in areas that are frost free. Millettia (if that's what you have) wouldn't be winter hardy in the ground in a zone 5.
