You cannot let the bed get "wet", it is a sure sign that you are about to loose the bed right away. One day you may be able to have a bed without drain holes but it will take years of experience before then. Get some drain holes and quit feeding so much food. They are not pets that need to be fed every day.

yes, the problem was too much food to start, and then too often - remember that most food waste is at least 85% water, and the worms can't do anything with the additions until it starts to decompose via microbial action, meaning at least a day or 2, especially in a new bin ... try adding shredded cardboard and other coarser bedding materials [coarse sawdust, chopped straw, shredded leaves] to get more air in the bedding .... and feed in the top few inches, not at the bottom

you don't need drain holes for excess liquid if you don't add excess liquid!!

You really should have drain holes with a plastic bin. Plastic doesn't "breathe" like a wood bin would.

Some people manage without drain holes but most people do far better with them. Worms actually need far less moisture than most people think when they start a worm bin. Perhaps if you can dry things out, you will see a revival of your worm population.
