I've run this bin for a year, without harvest. Since the boy was born I've barely touched it. I got into to it today. Boyo is 4 months old now. I gave it a good moistening a week or 2 ago. Put a wad of mosses from plant pots from the florists that I'd wetted and were green and growing along one end, and put a slurry of wetted baby formula in one corner. Talk about HOG WILD. I had a solid clump of worms in that corner. Glad I found something useful to do with that canned stuff. (i've about 8 cans they shoved at me since I first went to see the dr. and found out Boyo was coming). The worms were all hanging out lounging in the green moss.

The bottom layers were very compacted so I went in and fluffed it all up and put new wet paper on top. I'm going to feed them in about a week and see if I can get them all back into this one corner (they got all mixed up when I was clearing the bottom.)

I dont know if I'd recognise a egg case if I saw one. I havent noticed any yet...
