Worm grunting

I spotted this on National Geographic's website and got to thinking... would this work on redworms? Has anyone tried this technique? Granted it looks like it takes a lot of practice, but we also have the benefit of a captive audience.

Since red worms don't live in the soil as we know it they cannot respond to grunting .

Looks like it would be easier to raise worms than grunt for them.
