Well, that was disapointing

So, I had this underipe watermelon, that my husband thought was a ripe squash and picked, in my worm bin. They went nuts over it and this morning when I looked, there were ton of worms. This huge mass over this slimy orange stuff in the bin. There was so many it even kind of grossed me out. I was exited and wanted to show the hubby but he was working hard on the computer all day. Well, 14 hours later he finally gets a chance to wonder downstairs and look at my worms and they're gone. They had finished off my unripen orangelo and moved on. I was so excited to show my husband all my worms and I just got to show him 10 young ones that were hiding under a piece of egg carton. I suppose I could have dug down for them but by then, the moment was kind of lost. I guess I should take it as a good thing that my worms' appetite is really starting to pick up. I'm glad I added the 2 cups of shredded zucchini this morning and I just threw in a banana peel. I have some more in the freezer just waiting for them.
