Are you trying to sell your worms or give them away?

Money ($10 or so to help recoup my loss of about $35) would be nice, but I was actually looking to give them away. If you can pick them up today that would be my preference over any money.

Webster, TX is it in Harris or Wood County? When I looked up Webster,TX in mapquest Webster, TX showed up twice. One near I30 between Texarkana and Dallas. And one between Houston and Galveston.

I don't know about roaches, but I live in So. Cal. with LOTS of fruit flies, and I am able to manage them very well. Spring/summer is the high season for fruitflies in my experience, and also the time worms are most productive, so you feed them more. When I get the first fruitfly, I stop feeding them, take out any fruit, and let them live on the bedding until the flies are gone, then start feeding slowly again.

I'm not sure if this is great practice, but it does deter the fruit flies. You can also consider using a fan (always seems to help with flies), and fly traps made with funnels and vinegar (hasn't worked for me...I'm too lazy).

But check around before you ditch them. I've even heard of people only feeding the worms paper, which wouldn't attract flies.
