Yep. Recommend getting the stand also if you can't build a solid one yourself. The thing gets HEAVY (once it's placed and full, you ain't moving it ;) ). If you have it hooked high like in his picture, it's easier to harvest from the bottom. Three prong garden fork works great for getting stuff out of the bottom, does need a little digging.

But I much prefer it over the RM bin I tried. Bin was fine, but the Inn just easier. No harvesting worm separation needed, better lid (eight months in and no flies or gnats), more idiot proof, no sludge and nicer stuff coming out the bottom.

Does run a bit drier than a bin, but nothing adding a little water doesn't fix and nothing to worry about. And you can pour it through the mesh without opening the lid which is nice.

I watched the video you suggested. I just started my worm bin about 2 1/2 weeks ago. It is in a sterlite bucket 14 gallon. Was thinking about getting a worm inn. Do you have yours outside or inside and what part of the country are you in?

Inside, in the living room actually. If you're thinking smell, burying new foods (especially smelly ones like broccoli) under a bit of old VC and a good layer of bedding solves that problem. Less risky doing that in the Inn as the bottom never gets soggy like a bin can which can lead to issues if unprocessed food gets down to that level. Just move bedding out of the way, add food, sprinking a little harvested VC on top (more if it's a stinkier food), put bedding back. Can never have too much bedding. As the top is see through, it also helps with the worms working the top layer since as you know they don't like light.

Southern Ontario Canada, so yep, definately indoors. If you have yours outdoors, heat and dryness (in winter) would be two things to keep track of. No idea if critters (racoons etc) would be an issue eating the cloth to get to the food.

I am in Florida so I have mine indoors, think outside would be too hot; it stays low of mid 70 @ night and mid 90 during the day.
