Well, I thought you'd all like to hear about the Vermicomposting Workshop I held today for my MOMS club. We had a HUGE turnout! I think there must have been 10 moms and 20 kids. Unfortunately we had bad weather so we all had to cram into the garage. One Mom brought a bin and we set it up for her. She's excited to get started. The kids got to shred newspaper and set up the bin. They got to help me screen my castings and they picked out worms to add to the new worm bin. We had lots of worm coloring pages to keep the kids busy when they weren't playing with the worms.

The downside to having it in the garage -- aside from the small space and noise, was that castings and worms that fell on the floor had to be cleaned up instead of falling straight into the yard :). I'm looking forward to getting some feedback from everyone that came. I know at least 2 other moms are interested in setting up bins for themselves.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. What was I thinking?
