I just have a few questions. and building a gazebo of sorts over my 12'x22' patio and I am wanting to have different assortments of grapevines grow up all the posts to the rafters of the gazebo and eventually cover the entire roof of the gazebo.

My question is do all vines play well with each other? IE if I want to plant all white muscadines on one post and then all red on another and then purple on another and the go to wine grapes or seedless on others. and they all grow up and start to mingle at the top. will the kill or choke each other off?

Another question is on the top of this "gazebo" I was planning on only having trellis on top to allow the vines to grow on and cover. will the grape naturally hang threw the trellis or should I use the trellis to filter light and just use Wire underneath to along the vines to grow along?

I live in Centeral florida and there isn't any trees big enough to provide shade from the direct sun from killing the vines.

As I start to build this gazebo I will post photos but I will most likely just share drawings for now if you want to see kinda what I have in mind.
