Could they have been over or under watered? Or sprayed with an herbicide? Have they been fertilized? If so, with what? Could a dog have urinated on them? Something happened to make them that unhappy, blackberry vines are usually very vigorous. If you don't get many responses here you might want to post again on the Fruit board.

I think the dog peed on them a few times... My wife didn't think it was something she needed to tell me! ;) I've soaked them and covered them with shade cloth. They seem to be doing much better... So long as the dog doesn't use them for his toilet I think they'll make it.
