Posting the same question in many different threads is likely to cause more confusion than help you get your answers. In the future it would be better to only post it in one place on a forum at a time.
What I tell anyone asking about new stuff to put in a worm bin. Try a small amount and see how it goes. I suspect the shells will take a long time to break down but most things will eventually. It depends on your patients in waiting for them to decompose so the worms can start digesting them.

I have a special place out in the back where I put chicken carcasses, shrimp shells, king crab shells, etc. It is all gone in 2weeks. I do not know what eats it as the leaves that cover that pile seem undisturbed. I do not use that pile for anything other than to discard such items.
I would not put them in my worm bins, especially indoors, as it would take a very long time to decompose and would most likely smell.

You can but why would you? They would smell and attract possumns, coons, and cats, and are not of any real value in the beds. If you had a lot of them compost them with leaves and grass clippings and use them that way. Burying them in your garden would be the best use for them.
