Great project. The wormies will be great in there with good bedding/ feeding. I am impressed with this bin.

Thanks chuckiebtoo. the best part is the wood was going to end up at the land fill and now it will go to good use! It would make for a good coffee table, and no one would know theres worms inside...lol

Very good point Adam!! That's what Mary did, in Worms Eat My Garbage. She also put a cutting board on top of a small worm bin and scraped the cuttings it. I draw the line at that one!

Lotsa people have worm bins disguised as, and incorporated in, their homes as items of furniture like coffee tables...or decorative pieces... and without anyone having a clue...unless they tell em, or a disaster flares up.

Other lotsa folks have large, shallow plastic bins under their beds. I could go for that, but I'd be sleeping alone....divorced.

Gnarly. What sort of screen did you use to divide the halves? I have no idea about linseed oil. Sorry.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your comments... Niivek- i used 1\4" hardware cloth to separate the sides. The screen is removable as well, an fits real snug so I haven't put guides on the walls to hold screen in place. I might but I like the freedom to position the screen where I like.
