Hello! I need reliable advice on groundcover to combat my war with weeds. A 6-foot square patch of PURPLE WINTERCREEPER has suddenly developed in an open sunny area badly in need of groundcover. I don't know how it started, but I am very pleased with what I have seen. I would like to help the Purple Wintercreeper expand to other parts of the property, with the intention of having the entire property covered with a carpet of Purple Wintercreeper instead of the undesirable weeds. The property is approximately 3,000 square feet. I would like to know the most effective method of taking some of the plantings and propagate them to several other barren areas of the property. I understand this may take several years to accomplish, but I'm prepared to do whatever is necessary to achieve a lush carpet of Purple Wintercreeper across the entire 3,000 squre foot area. I live in suburban St. Louis (Zone 6a), with significant clay soil and full to partial sun. I welcome all comments. Thank you!
