Aker, I have grown what I know as sunsmiles, same thing just a different name I believe. I like them!! Don't be fooled my marketing though...the azure blue most likely will be lavender, the red will be a dark pink or violet and the salmon will probably be a pale pink...LOL they are worth growing IMHO!! I like the violet ones best!

I may just have to order me some of them!!

Do they only grow to be 12 inches tall? How wide do you suppose?

I have 5 vines of Sunsmile in different locations and 3 have stayed 12" or under, while the other 2 are over 40".

None of mine ever even made it to 12'' LOL may have been because they were in a pot..not sure. Mine never were very wide maybe 6-7'' I will upload my lavender one that I really though was going to be a true blue.

the call them by different names for one reason and no doubt one reason only; trap people into thinking it's something new and different. I see it done quite a bit with the see companies.
One company calls it by one name and another calls it by another name.

Ronnie is right about the colors though

all of these where from stokes too. I got them in a trade a few years ago, half a package from stokes called dwarf picotee/sunsmile MG. description on the packet was the same as they are showing now.

Azure blue was a dark violet

salmon was more pinkish lavender

pink was really a lavender

And just for good measure, I ended up with a white one that was not mentioned on the packet.

I had mine in small pots and one in the ground and was not impressed, flower was small, never grew a vine, and the flowers where about 2 1/2 inches. The critters liked them as well, seemed to be more so than my vines in the ground.

Mine is Sunsmile Red from Swallowtail seeds I think.
The color is dark pink/fuchsia.
Two are in pots and the others are in the ground.
The one that's around 40" is just a vine that hangs over the edge of the pot. The taller one is in the ground and I have it climbing a metal pole.
None are bushy like I expected, but leaves and flowers are pretty.

I like the leaf variegation in Sunsmiles. I grew one that was called Kawaii. Made a taller bush type plant with nonvariegated leaves, quite nice for a container where you didn't want a trellis.

If you were to grow them again. Would you grow them in groups or singly? Did they produce a lot of flowers?

It's too bad the colors aren't as they describe them. An azure blue would be nice.

Kawaii might do ok in a large hanging planter.
