The other day I noticed a bunch of larvae that had turned almost black on the ground near the bin. When I looked under the bin (propped up on blocks), I could see a couple right under bin crawling away from the bin. They must have come through the escape holes in the bottom?

Does this mean the conditions in the bin are unsuitable or is this part of their cycle?
