We live in N IL, near Chicago. My neighbor has a white-flowering vine he calls "Autumn Jasmine" and it is indeed blooming now and does sort of resemble a jasmine, with a faint fragrance. It's a hardy vine - went through last winter's Polar Vortex.

I wonder what it could be.
