Are you meaning 'silver lace VINE'? Ya, it's invasive - it will run like crazy, but its fragrance and beauty make it worth the efforts of pulling it. Do a google.com for "SILVER LACE VINE" and you will find lots of information.

No, kayjones, the vine is called silver vein creeper, botanical name "Parthenocissus Henryana" ~ it's related to the virginia creeper. From your response, I'm glad it's NOT silver lace vine.

Anyone know anything about the silver vein creeper listed above??

I don't think the Silver Vein Creeper is invasive. The vine does grow to great lengths... 20 to 30 feet long.
It's a great vine for the Northwest.
A friend had a vine that had to be moved and I took a long piece of it, with no roots, buried it under about an inch of soil over the winter. Then in the early spring I dug up the vine to find that it had buds sprouting all along it. I cut the 20' piece to 10" to 12" pieces, stuck tem in little pots and now they have rooted and are showing lots of new growth. I have recently planted some of the rooted pieces in my garden next to a trellis and am anxiously waiting to see how they do.

We have Parthenocissus henryana growing up the back of our house which is 4 storeys high - about 40 feet. It has to be cut three times a year. Otherwise it would end up on the roof and the windows would be grown over. It will grow 15 - 20 feet in the summer. It is growing at the base of the house wall and goodness knows where its roots are or what nourishes it. Here it doesn't set berries so I would call it extremely vigorous rather than invasive. I find the veins develop best in shade. 3 on a 7 foot tree stump will cover it in no time and then you'll need to trim continuously.
