cross pollinating MGs

I've been growing purple (looks like Gpa Ott) and pink Mgs for a few years now. THis year I have noticed a few light purple with pink stripes.I assume they came from seeds of cross polinating flowers of last year. My Q is will these hybrids (is that the right word) produce viable seeds. I wasnt sure since fruit flowers that cross pollinate dont produce seeds that will produce fruit.

I really want to learn the Botany behind my garden...any info would be helpful! I am sorry if this is a stupid Q!!
