MG's for quickest bloom

Is there a tall MG that blooms earlier than Heavenly Blue? Also, are there any that tolerate a bit more shade than others? I doubt I'll ever give up my Heavenly Blue, as I just love it this time of year, but I have a few spots where I could use something earlier or that would tolerate part sun.

ruth_mi - The Ipomoea nil Early Call mix and some of the Ipomoea purpurea cultivars will usually bloom earlier than the Ipomoea tricolor species...

I've not found MG's that will bloom well in the shade in New Jersey...some people in the lower latitudes where the sun is more intense have reported some luck with having some MG's bloom in the shade...I suspect that the amount of indirect sunlight is stronger in their shade...so>not all shade is the same as far as the amount and type of indirect or filtered sunlight that the plants might receive>in addition to any amounts direct sunlight 'shaded' plants might receive...it seems that different types of shaded conditions have produced somewhat contrasting reports...

Thanks, Ron! From what I've read, the Early Calls are "just" 5 - 6 feet, and I need some taller than that. I'll have to try some of the Ipomoea purpurea cultivars.
