My home's western red brick wall needs coverage. I had carolina jasmine growing up trellises against the wall but despite my efforts at trimming the jasamine it overloaded and broke the trellis. Also it was so full that it blocked the sun to my knockout roses. I have pulled the jasamine down and am looking to grow something up the wall that will provide a backdrop for the roses and other plants beneath. Is there something I can grow quickly and safely without a trellis? I'd like some euggestions and thank you in advance.
