Yes, I've seen that book. It's really great!

It's one of my boys' favorites.

It's in the box in the closet labeled "Grandkids". We've been promised grandkids next year...

I just picked up a copy of the book and it's very cute. I plan to use it when I do a library program on vermicomposting for 5 and 6 year-olds. My wormbin will come along for show-and-tell. If anyone has any other suggestions for books, or for an easy (15-20 minute long) craft project I could do with the kids, I'd aprreciate it.( I do not plan to send the kids home with mini-worm bins, but just with enough info on how they could set one up.)

Follow up: I am in big trouble with my local library because I lost the library's copy of "Worms Eat My Garbage". I bought a replacement, and of course, before dropping it off at the library, my wife found the library's copy...under my 5 year old's bed. He liked Diary of a Worm so much that he decided he wanted more worm books. I guess he was storing it for later - like when he learns to read.

At least I have a future vermicomposter!

And have you seen Gary Laursen's "There's a Hair in My Dirt?" Very cute.
