Sounds like it got too wet. I usually add some dry bedding underneath the wet bedding to soak up some of the extra moisture. I also add some dry bedding to the top or leave the lid off. When it's too wet the worms don't get enough air, so they crawl up the sides of the bin.

I agree with MKitten. Frozen food, as it thaws, releases it's water quickly. Then it was sprayed. I too would add some dry bedding, maybe even mix it a bit with the wet bedding. You could , also leave the top off the bin for the day.

if its "raining" from my lid, I usually leave it off for the day, if theres just a bit of condensation, I let it be.

My fiance had a habit of over-moistening the bin and it stunk! I agree with the dry bedding/ tossing it in a bit as well!

Contrary to a lot you'll read, the worms don't need nearly as much water as we are told. If you dig into the bins, you'll find the moisture content down deep much more wet than above. If my bins leak even a little water, I consider them to be too moist. Also, when I add water, I only sprinkle a LITTLE bit on the bedding. Leaving the lid off for awhile is the way to dry one out.

I usually leave the frozen food out for a few hours to drain the moisture...unless it's summer when the ice is a welcome thing...I guess.
