hmmm..I have not come across slime mold, (or even know what it is). Could it be a huge bloom of pot worms?

Nope looks like mold.
Kinda of like the white webby stuff but without the web and more of the slime

Slime molds,are sometimes white/creamy, sometimes yellow, sometimes even lime green.

These harmless molds are sometimes very wet and slimy, sometimes dry, almost powdery; sometimes smooth and moist, sometimes webby and fibrous.

Know that while there is no way to prevent the formation of slime mold, niether is it something about which you need worry. Slime molds are kind of icky, but do not harm you, your worms, your pets or your plants, rather, like all molds in the system, actually aid in the decomposition of the organic matter.

Now, while harmless, most people scoop the mold out or mix it back in to the bedding simply because it is less than pleasant (it is sometimes called dog puke mold...) to work around, and neither is there anything wrong with doing so!

I figured it was good for compositing.

Intereseting I saw a little on the lip and lid of the bin.

This mold is very much a resource scrapper. Seems to take very little food for it to grow. I guess that means I have a healthy system. Been 10 months now.
