I've never grown it indoors, but yes, every time I've grown it outdoors it starts blooming just before frost kills it. I have no clue about pruning it, but I eagerly await further reports from you. (*grin*)

It's SUCH a lovely vine I wish I could figure some way to enjoy it. The one year that it did bloom much, it bloomed half-way up the light pole and I couldn't really see the blooms.

A couple of the buds have dropped but some are still holding. It's crawling all over the plants in the greenhouse and those tiny tendrils cling to everything! BTW I sent you an email this am.

I tried the plant, here in zone 7a, and it grew from seed started in a greenhouse in March. It grew beautifully and bloomed just as frost hit. It is unlikely that I will try it again, as I do not have a greenhouse or an area where I can set up artificial lighting, to start it early enough. I would start it in January, if I had such facilities, as a fully grown vine, by Summer, should bloom at that time.

It's still growing like mad in the greenhouse but the buds are dropping. I'm going to have to cut it back some very soon because it's taking over. Hopefully it will hold buds and bloom next spring/summer. If not I won't mess with it again.
