I have read many post where people had worms exit from whatever they were contained in. I got tired of the little buggers drying on the carpet, one here and one there. I went to the store and bought a 5 watt nightlite and installed it in the lid of an 18 gallon container.

I have had zero leave their humble home after three weeks. I received a shipment just 3 days ago and they all wanted to crawl out. I used the same technique and they all retreated under the cover I supplied and none have attempted to escape since then. HOW TO: Cut a hole in the center of the lid/top, mount the night light (5 watt) in the hole to the lid/top by glueing or other method to hold the light securly, make sure the electrical connector is exposed on the outside, plug the exposed electrical connector into an extension cord and no more worm crawl. I use cardboard to cover the top so the worms can work at the surface. If they crawl out into the light the immediatly crawl back under the cover.
