You really won't have good luck growing them indoors. They need the cooler temperatures of winter, temperatures that often fluctuate between day and night, higher humidities and air flow that exist out of doors and simply cannot be duplicated inside. Extended indoor culture will result in poor quality plants that don't bloom and either waste away or contract an incurable case of spider mites (which can still occur outside, but are less likely when the plants aren't as stressed). However, they will happily tolerate the heat of your summer if their other cultural needs (moist, rich, well-drained soil and partial shade) are met.
