pickling lime is calcium hydroxide [slaked lime], calcium carbonate is agricultural lime

worms, and the decomposer microbes they feed on prefer a slightly acidic environment, which is what the material [compost/food waste] will generally be, pH isn't usually worth worrying about, and adding any form of lime may make for some real unhappy worms - but a little ground eggshell for grit can be helpful

The short answer is no, no, and no. In general the bin will self regulate the PH to a comfortable range. Worms work successfully in a PH of 4 to 9. If you add anything to dramatically change the PH you will surely damage the worms. They can adjust slowly to almost anything but what your suggesting might kill them. If the bin is to wet you can do two things: 1. add dry bedding such as newspaper or 2. Stop feeding whatever it is that is so wet and air out the bin for a few days. Do a forum search on PH then on moisture problems and you will get a lot of good input about both items. Search box is in the upper right.
