i suspect famecheck apricot to be little more than a selection of or identical to v. sulphurea. i dont see anything in the images to suggest otherwise. i believe t&m to be strong on marketing and weak on nomenclature. we have in australia, and now in europe, an apricot odorata type called crepuscule. it's similar to sulphurea, but produces more typical odorata runners and has a longer flowering season. i found an orange-pink form of sulphurea many years ago and this is maintained under the name of phyl dove (the name of the owner of the garden where i found it) by groves and son in dorset. it has typical compact form of sulphurea. groves and casbas in france both have pale/buff selections of sulphurea in their collections. these are at least distinct form the common form of sulphurea, which famecheck seems to me not to be....
