Yes - I rather fancied 'Mars' too, having seen a picture of it in The Garden July 2003, p.505, where it was included as one of the plants new at Chelsea this year. It is available for £3 from Long Acre Plants of Somerset; tel. 01963-32802. Unfortunately, that page from the journal is not available online (they put only selected articles online; fair enough) - so I can't point readers to a piccy.
Might get one myself.

By the way, there seems to be a violetta with the same name - not to be confused! Of course such duplication of cultivar names should not happen, at least not within the same denomination group; but now and again it does. When Peter is up and running with the Register, it should be a rarer occurrence still.

That's really confusing! Imagine that in France we have the Violette de Mars!( for Marsh)
A pretty violet all the same! Wish I can put my hand on it!

Perhaps you should try emailing Terra Nova Nursery, since they are the ones that introduced it to the retail market. I'm sure they could tell you if they have sold any cuttings to nurseries in Australia. Good Luck!
