Off and on today I noticed a ladybug diligently checking out all of the nooks and crannies of the flower stalks on my blue bedding salvia. The shiny bright red of the ladybug was so striking against the fuzzy blue of the unopened flower buds of the salvia that I finally got my camera to try to take a photo, even though I knew the batteries were on their last legs. I managed to take four photos before the camera died, and this one was the best. I'm surprised that it turned out reasonably sharp, as it was windy and the camera was giving its "slow shutter" warning due to the late afternoon shade. Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy it.
