I looked at your photos twice before I saw the owl. lol It's blending in with the tree a little I guess.
I've only seen owls just a very few times in my life. It's quite a treat when I do. Redtail hawks are pretty common where I am, as well as American Kestrels. I can't recall that I've ever seen a Cooper's Hawk though. Thanks for posting your photos.

Cooper's hawks are pretty common raiders of birds from feeders I think. If you have them in your area and you put out a bird feeder, good chance to see a cooper's hawk in your backyard

I hear an owl most every night this year, and notice that the rabbit population has gone from explosive to nearly nil. Yea Hooty!!
