I'm right with you on that. I have been praying. What a terrible disaster. I also feel helpless, but praying certainly makes me feel better.

It's devastating. I didn't sleep last night thinking and grieving about the wildlife and the destruction of their habitat. And can you add in a prayer for the animals that are being abused in the world (see ads on almost every page of gardenweb)? It's all so depressing! Mankind can really suck.

Rather than just praying why not call around to see if there is a rehabilitation facility in your area. Although most of us can not directly assist the creatures there you might be able to assist the ones in your area.

You could also call your local veterinarian to see if there are any animals that need extra assistance to survive. This could be as little as just assuring an animal someone cares or even fostering a animal until it is well.
