When were trying to grow strawberries, we covered them with cheesecloth in order to keep the birds at bay.

But chipmunks will have a field day on them and they would get under the cheesecloth.

I'm actually glad to see the berries eaten by critters. That's one reason why I let them spread. I was hoping the birds were getting them, but I suppose there's no way to know.

Slugs? Children?
